Zeba Bilal
Director of Ewing Kindergarten

Zeba joined Ewing in June 2022 with 15 years of experience in Early Childhood sector. She believes that families play an important role in decision-making about their children’s learning and their expertise, values and beliefs should be respected. Zeba holds an Advanced Diploma of Early Childhood and has a vision for Ewing to be recognised as an organisation with strong relationships with the Community and work with other services for the best outcomes for children and staff at Ewing.

Libby Pickard
Possums Teacher & Sustainability Leader

Libby joined Ewing Kindergarten in 2018, after teaching in country Victoria for two years. Prior to that, Libby lived in Japan for 16 years, seven of which were spent teaching at an International Pre School. Libby has a Bachelor of Education (Visual Arts), Master of Early Childhood Education and a Diploma in Kids Yoga Teaching and is classified as an Exemplary Teacher. Libby is passionate about living sustainably, all things natural, clay, yoga and Aboriginal Culture. She is classified as Exemplary Teacher.

Colleen Charles
Koalas Teacher

Colleen joined Ewing Kindergarten in 2023. She has been teaching Kindergarten classes since 2015 and has a background in the Performing Arts. Her love of art, drama and music inspires her teaching, and she incorporates these into her daily program. Colleen has also been a Sessional Lecturer in Early Childhood with RMIT and is currently working as a Learning Facilitator with Melbourne Museum.

Jen Zhenzi
Joeys Teacher

Since becoming a Kinder teacher in 2008, Jen has been passionate about making a positive impact on young children’s early learning and development. Jen believes children are capable learners. Jen enjoys playing with or alongside children, which is when meaningful learning begins and positive relationships are formed. Jen strongly believes every child has their unique funds of knowledge. This helps form who they are and what is important to them and their family.

Trudy McDougall
Koalas Educator

Trudy joined Ewing Kindergarten in 2014 after previous experiences in kindergarten and early primary teaching. Trudy has a Bachelor of Education (Early Childhood). Trudy is passionate about using an inquiry-based approach to learning in order to provide meaningful opportunities for investigation in response to children’s interests.

Maryam Ahmady
Educator

Maryam has been working in the industry since 2012 as assistant Educator, Lead Educator and assistant Director. She has worked in Montessori classroom for 2 years as well. At the moment, she is studying her bachelor’s in early childhood education and knows how valuable and precious children are to us. She enjoys teaching, also-learning from children'; she values and respects each individual child and loves to be a part of their learning and growing journey.

Angie joined the Ewing Community as a parent and committee member in 2001.  She has continued this involvement from 2007 as an educator. She has a certificate III in Children’s Services and a Diploma of Early Childhood Education.  Angie is passionate about building relationships within the local community. Her love of art inspires her practices following the lead from the children’s interests.

She has a strong passion for the ongoing learning and development of the children and takes pride in being heavily involved in their journey at Ewing Kindergarten.

Nicole Langford
Educator

Nicole joined the Ewing team in 2021 after gaining her Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care. Nicole is passionate about the wellbeing of children and prides herself on the meaningful relationships she forms with the children, staff and families. Nicole is driven by her desire to provide a caring, nurturing, and positive environment where everyone can learn and grow together.

Meg Hoppe
Wombats Teacher & Educational Leader

Meg joined Ewing in 2020 with years of experience teaching Kindergarten and Junior Primary. She is a warm, caring and dynamic teacher who has a passion for emergent curriculum and play based, inquiry learning. She loves including cooking, drama and art into the program. Meg is a wonderful leader for our teaching team and will move Ewing into new horizons. Meg holds and Early Childhood Teacher Degree and is classified as Exemplary Teacher.
